DACHAU CONCENTRATION CAMP

This camp is located on the grounds of an abandoned munitions factory about ten miles northwest of Munich in the state of Bavaria.
in the first year more than 4,800 prisoners were held there, in four years the amount of prisoners grew to more than 13,000, More than 10,000 of the prisoners were Jewish men. the number of prisoners captured in Dachau in between 1933 and 1945 grew to be larger than 188,000. starting in the end of 1944 until they were freed, 15,000 people died. in Dachau (like many other concentration camps) they experimented on everyone that was captured and shot them if they were thought as threatening. they also tested poisonous gases on the prisoners.the camp lasted from 1933 till 1945. in 1945 american forces liberated Dachau.
